2011/2012 Colorectal Cancer Screening Learning Collaborative

Join the 2011/2012 Colorectal Cancer Screening Learning Collaborative

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the number two cancer killer in the U.S. Many in the Minnesota health care community are working to reduce the burden of this disease by increasing screenings for appropriate citizens from its current rate of 66% up to 80%. You can contribute to this effort by joining this collaborative

Led by a consortium comprised of the Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement (ICSI), the American Cancer Society and the Minnesota Department of Health, this collaborative is designed to help participating medical groups enhance their current CRC screening efforts.

The collaborative will start in July 2011 and run through August 2012. This learning collaborative will be "virtual", consisting of Webinars, conference calls; consulting telephone meetings with each participating group; and sharing of progress and lessons learned among groups. A readiness assessment will be conducted with each participant to identify where they could most improve their CRC screening rates.
