Bottles Leaves ICSI
Dr. Kent Bottles has left his position as president of the Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement (ICSI). Despite this personnel change, ICSI’s strategies, direction and dedication to improve health care value remain the same.
“ICSI has an 18-year history of improving the quality and value of health care, and Dr. Bottles helped advance that work,” said Brian Rank, MD, Medical Director, HealthPartners Medical Group, and Board Chair of ICSI. “We want to accelerate ICSI’s unique ability as a collaborative to improve quality and make care more affordable for our community.”
The ICSI Board of Directors plans to conduct a national search for Dr. Bottles replacement. John Sakowski, ICSI’s chief operating officer, will serve as interim president until a replacement is formally named. Sakowski’s appointment will allow for a smooth transition and ensure the organization continues its critically important role of helping to transform the health care system so that it improves the quality and lowers the cost of health care.
