We’ve launched a new comprehensive resource website to support providers treating opioid use disorder. In partnership with the Minnesota Department of Health, the new website provides detailed resources for healthcare providers on medications that can be used in the treatment of opioid use disorder. Recent preliminary data from the Minnesota Department of Health reports a 59% increase from 2024 to 2024 for all opioid-involved deaths among Minnesota residents, making this resource even more necessary.
The site, Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) Best Practices, provides clinical and implementation resources for clinicians treating patients with opioid use disorder in multiple settings including offices, emergency departments, and inpatient settings, and jails/correctional facilities. It highlights:
- Clinical summaries and tools
- Provider and team education
- Service models
- Regulations, including how to obtain the X-waiver
The MOUD Best Practices website was made possible by a grant from the Minnesota Department of Health awarded in February 2024. For more information, visit moud.icsi.org.
