About This Website

This website helps to champion the cause of health care quality and to accelerate improvement in the value of health care. Much of the content is designed to help improve the health of the population, the patient care experience, including quality, and the affordability of care.

Its primary audience is the physicians and other health care professionals at our member medical groups and hospitals and nonprofit health plan sponsors in Minnesota and surrounding areas. Other health care providers, policymakers, and other stakeholders and citizens in the regional health community are a secondary audience. The information provided on this website is designed to support, not replace, the relationship that exists between a patient/site visitor and his/her physician.

Two ICSI staff persons are responsible for website content:

  • Mary Beth Schwartz, Communications Manager, is responsible for overall ICSI branding, messaging, subject categories and accuracy of content, organizational news, podcasts, links with other websites, and overall maintenance of the site. Ms. Schwartz has a MA degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and has more than 30 years of experience in editorial, marketing, and corporate communications.
  • Claire Neely, MD, Chief Medical Officer, is responsible for the content and accuracy of ICSI’s scientific documents (evidence-based guidelines and protocols). Dr. Neely has held clinical leadership positions with HealthPartners Medical Group for more than 20 years. She earned her MD from Washington University Medical School in St. Louis, MO, and completed her pediatric residency training at the University of Illinois in Chicago.
