The first step to ICSI membership is to contact us to review your basic qualifications. Send an email to Member Relations or call us at 952-814-7060. The general process for qualified organizations is outlined below.
Submit Letter of Intent
We require a letter describing your organization's interest in becoming an ICSI member (see a sample letter). The letter should be signed by a person with leadership authority in your organization and should include:
- A statement indicating your understanding of membership benefits, responsibilities and opportunities
- A brief description of your organization's quality improvement structure and efforts
Complete Membership Application
Our application captures basic information about your organization and key staff. You may also be asked to complete an assessment.
Attend Quality Improvement Basics Workshop
ICSI offers this full-day workshop on a quarterly basis exclusively for prospective new members and current members. It is designed so you can learn using your organization's own quality improvement focus areas or case studies. In most cases, we require that members of your quality team attend to learn and work together. Learn more. Included are fundamentals such as:
- Aims and Measures
- Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDSA) Cycle
- Adaptive Leadership
- Communications
- Change Management
Successfully Complete a Quality Improvement Project
You will leave the Quality Improvement Basics workshop prepared to undertake your own project. An ICSI staff member will be available to help you successfully complete your project.
Contact ICSI Member Relations with any questions about the membership process. We look forward to hearing from you!
