ENDORSEMENT SUMMARY

ICSI has endorsed with qualifications recommendations from two guidelines:

  1. 2016 United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommendations on:
    1. Primary prevention for adults age 40-75
  2. 2013 American College of Cardiology (ACC) / American Heart Association (AHA) recommendations on:
    1. Treatment targets
    2. Secondary prevention,
    3. Primary prevention for adults ≥ 21 years old with LDL ≥ 190 mg/dL
    4. Statin Safety
    5. Optimizing Statin Therapy
    6. Monitoring Statin Therapy
    7. Insufficient Response to Statin Therapy
