The Guideline Gantt Chart is a prediction of the guideline schedules for the next year. It is used primarily by ICSI members. The Gantt displays the months of development, edition, revision, and approval for each guideline.
The Gantt is currently undergoing extensive revision. Watch for an update by the end of the second quarter of 2015.
Below is a description of the categories listed on the Gantt indicating the activities occurring during that time period.
RR – Response Report
The purpose of the response report is to provide an opportunity for the clinicians in member organizations to review the scientific documents science before the revision and comment on issues, suggest new literature and to ask questions.
Mtg-Meetings
ICSI work groups are scheduled to meet during the two “Meeting” months indicated on the Gantt to revise and/or update the recommendations in the scientific document based on review of the current evidence-based literature and comments from the member organizations.
Revise
The revise month is time for the document to go through final edits before approval..
Appr-Approve
The Committee on Evidence Based Practice meets to ensure that work groups responded to all comments reasonably, the content and evidence is current, determine if the member organizations appear to be in consensus and are willing and able to implement the scientific document .
Edition
The edition number of each document is indicated on the Gantt.
