Choosing Wisely is a national campaign developed by the ABIM Foundation to encourage physicians and patients to have discussions about medical tests and procedures that may be unnecessary and, in some instances, can cause harm. As one of nearly 60 communications partners nationwide, ICSI is helping to spread the word to our members, sponsors and other stakeholders about Choosing Wisely's easy-to-use educational materials for physicians to use in their offices and give to patients.
This continues the work begun in 2013 with the Minnesota Medical Association and the Minnesota Health Action Group as Choosing Wisely Minnesota. Learn more about the impact of this campaign, which wrapped up in December 2014.
PAC Seal of Approval
In 2014, Choosing Wisely Minnesota earned the ICSI Patient Advisory Council's (PAC) Seal of Approval for delivering patient- and family-centered care that also supports shared decision-making. Learn more about the criteria met by the campaign to earn this seal.
