Zero Suicide Summit May 1st, 2024
in News
The Zero Suicide Initiative, a new partnership between the MN Health Collaborative and MN Department of Health, will launch on May 1, 2024 with the Zero Suicide Summit. The new Zero Suicide initiative will help design and nurture a less fragmented system to support patients at risk for suicide based on the nationally acclaimed Zero Suicide Model.
The Zero Suicide Summit is a one-day conference for leaders responsible for driving initiatives within their own organizations to reduce suicide and better support at-risk patients. Participants at the Summit will learn the seven elements of Zero Suicide and hear lessons learned from organizations who are implementing the Zero Suicide Model. Teams will develop organization-specific goals and actions plans for 90-day sprints as they begin their work in 12-month Zero Suicide Learning Collaborative.
Standardization is not a goal of the Summit or the overall program. Healthcare leaders will strive to take their work to the next level, and choose the elements of the Zero Suicide Model that will enhance and further the current work within their organization specifically.
