Brent James and Jack
Silversin to keynote 2003 Colloquium on Clinical Quality Improvement
"A Culture of Quality:
Nourishing Improvement in Health Care" is the theme for
the 2003 Colloquium on Clinical Quality Improvement, scheduled
for May 8-9, 2003. Brent James, M.D. and Jack Silversin, Ph.D.
will keynote the Colloquium, which will be held at the Minneapolis
Marriott City Center hotel.
The Colloquium is co-sponsored
by ICSI and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) in
Boston. More information about the Colloquium will be posted
in December. New edition
of ICSI Pocket Guidelines now available
The 2002 edition of ICSI Pocket Guidelines is now available.
This 363 page pocket-size book has been updated to include the
latest revisions of 53 ICSI health care guidelines and guideline
supplements. Each guideline includes the algorithms and selected
annotations and tables contained in the full version. ICSI
Pocket Guidelines provides clinicians with a tool that can
be used anywhere they provide patient care.
ICSI Pocket Guidelines cost $10 each; a discount is provided
when ordered in quantities of 10 or more. Full details are available

Diabetes guideline
"translation" available
ICSI has developed a
version of the diabetes health care guideline that translates
medical terminology into commonly used and easily understood
English. It is intended for patients, their families and/or caregivers,
and other individuals who have little or no health care training.
